What is Mesothelioma Cancer?

Mesothelioma cancer is a specific form of cancer that does not occur nearly as often as many other types of cancer. This is a type of cancer that can ultimately affect the patient’s abdomen, the lung’s lining, and the heart. In the United States alone, there are as many as 3,000 cases where physicians have diagnosed patients with this painful disease. In many cases, individuals that have acquired mesothelioma cancer do not even experience any type of symptoms for as long as 20 or even 50 years after they have been exposed to the asbestos.
